FAQs
How do I get started?
1
You can begin by booking a complimentary 15-minute discovery call or scheduling an initial consultation.
During the initial consultation, I complete a detailed health history and explore your symptoms, lifestyle, dietary patterns, and goals. From there, I develop a personalised plan and discuss whether any functional testing may be helpful. Ongoing support is available through follow-up appointments if needed.
A Clinical Nutritionist is trained in evidence-based nutrition science with a focus on root cause assessment and personalised care. Training typically includes extensive study in biochemistry, physiology, pathology, and functional assessment.
The term “Nutritionist” can vary in meaning depending on qualifications and regulation.
Dietitians are university-trained allied health professionals who often work in clinical and hospital settings, with a strong focus on medical nutrition therapy and public health.
Each profession has its strengths. My approach focuses on holistic, preventative, and root cause-based support.
What is the difference between a Clinical Nutritionist, a Nutritionist, and a Dietitian?
2
Do you work with men as well as women?
3
Absolutely. I welcome both men and women into my practice.
I have a particular interest in men’s health, supporting areas such as hormone balance, energy, strength, metabolic health, stress, and long-term vitality, using practical, evidence-based nutrition strategies tailored to you.
What is the cost of functional testing?
4
The cost varies depending on the type of test recommended. I will always discuss pricing, suitability, and whether testing is necessary before proceeding. Testing is optional and not required for all clients.
How do I know if I’m ready to see a Clinical Nutritionist?
5
If you feel something is not quite right, want a deeper understanding of your health, or are ready to take a more proactive role in supporting your body, you are likely ready.
You do not need to have a diagnosis to seek support.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
6
Consultations are currently offered via telehealth. In-person appointments are planned for the near future.
If you are specifically interested in in-person care, please send me an email and I can update you when details are available.
How many sessions will I need?
7
This varies depending on your goals and the complexity of your health concerns.
Some clients benefit from short-term support to address a specific issue, while others prefer ongoing care for deeper or long-standing concerns. We will discuss this together and tailor the approach to you.
Is this suitable if I am already seeing a GP or specialist?
8
Yes. Nutrition support can work alongside medical care. I encourage collaboration and, where appropriate, can work in conjunction with your healthcare team.
